@Experimental
final case class FileToolLimits

The bounds of FileTools' results (design ยง4.32, rule 12).

Every limit in characters counts UTF-16 units, as String.length does, so it bounds the text's size as stored and sent; a character outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (an emoji) counts 2. A cut never splits one.

Value parameters

maxLineChars

the most characters of one line read_file and grep show; a longer line is cut and marked

maxResultChars

the most characters of any one result a tool returns, an error's included, as the model sees it; at least 256. An outcome the loop or a middleware gives instead of running the tool (invalid arguments, a denial, a timeout) is theirs, bounded by the arguments the tools bound

maxResults

the most entries ls, glob and grep return; a longer listing says it stopped

readLimit

the lines read_file returns when the model gives no limit, and the most it returns
